Take advantage of these quiet places filled with the sweet aroma of nature, choruses of songbirds, engulfed in history and surrounded by unforgettable views.

Genoese Battery

This pair of double artillery batteries overlooks the Bay of Gibraltar and is an ideal resting area before continuing your trails.

Princess Caroline’s Battery

Another great spot to catch the famous Barbary macaques of Gibraltar. This battery with views over the town area and the Bay of Gibraltar, is also a great lookout point and rest stop.

Royal Anglian Way

This path takes its name from the Royal Anglian Regiment that refurbished the area in the late 1960s. The path has a series of military installations including, cook-houses and the impressive Rooke Battery.

Charles V Wall

This historic fortification is a great way to reach some of the key sites in the Upper Rock. With several picnic locations a long the way, you can take it at your own pace and really take in your surroundings.
