Reptiles

There are twice as many species of reptile on the Rock of Gibraltar than in the entirety of the UK – twelve species in total.

The more common to stumble across on your journey through the Reserve would be the Andalusian Wall Lizard or the Moorish Gecko.

One can also find several species of snake – from the most common Horseshoe Whip Snake with its bright orange underbelly and horseshoe pattern, to the venomous Montpellier Snake.
